Hello Humans!

Elon Musk's Grok 5 now has six trillion parameters, two missed deadlines, and zero release dates, which is a very ambitious ratio for a product. Anthropic launched Claude Duet, an agent that watches your apps and tells you what needs attention, a job your inbox has been failing at for twenty years. Google is putting a personalized Gemini in your car, so your commute can now read your email back to you. Meanwhile one hacker let AI agents break into more than 100 websites for about 50 dollars a break-in, proving that cheap labor is alive and well. Big Tech had a busy week.

Inside this Edition:

For the entrepreneur in you, this week's AI-powered side hustle: an AI short-term-rental listing and guest-message service, realistically earning 2.8K-4.5K/month with a repeatable system. Plus a free learning resource: SCORE's live webinar on building your first AI employee. We've also lined up four AI tools worth exploring, and a Robi-voiced look at AI agents hacking 100 websites on a budget and people paying robots to make their smart TVs dumb again.

📰AI Updates of the Week

Grok 5 Is Still Waiting at the Gate: Elon Musk promised a 6-trillion-parameter Grok 5 with a 10% shot at human-level intelligence, yet both of his release deadlines have passed with no launch date, benchmarks, or model card. xAI's confirmed progress is real, though: Grok 4.7 climbed to 71.0% on DeepSWE 1.1, up from 53% for Grok 4.5, at $2 per million input tokens. Source: BitBiased

Why it Matters:

  • Promises Are Not Benchmarks: The 6-trillion-parameter figure and the AGI odds are still Musk's predictions, and xAI's January announcement gave no parameter count, context window, or release date. Treat Grok 5 specs as rumor until a model card ships.

  • The Gap Is Closing, Not Closed: Artificial Analysis scores Grok 4.7 at 46 against 51 for Claude Opus 5 at maximum effort, while Grok 4.7 costs $2 and $6 per million tokens against $5 and $25. Cheaper and close is a real pitch, but not yet the lead.

We broke down what xAI has actually confirmed, every deadline Musk has missed, and what Grok 5 has to beat in the full video below. Watch the breakdown 👇

❝

Robi's Take:
"xAI has now missed two Grok 5 deadlines, which makes it the only model in the lineup that is reliably late. Six trillion parameters and still no room for a release date."

Anthropic Launches Claude Duet: Anthropic unveiled Claude Duet, a standalone agent app that acts as a proactive assistant for professionals and small-business owners. Built on Opus 5.5, it delivers a daily briefing, monitors connected apps, and handles tasks from scheduling meetings to building financial forecasts. It is a waitlisted research preview on iOS, Android and claude.ai for US Pro and Max subscribers, and asks approval for sensitive actions. Source: Reuters

❝

Robi's Take:
"Duet watches your apps and tells you what needs attention, which is exactly what your inbox has been doing badly for years. Anthropic admits it can misjudge urgency, so it already fits right in at the office."

Google Brings Personal Intelligence to Gemini in Your Car: Google is rolling out Personal Intelligence to Gemini in Android Auto, with cars that have Google built-in following in the coming months. With the setting enabled, Gemini can draw on Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Photos, YouTube and Search, for example checking your flight status from a confirmation email or navigating to a doctor's appointment. Personalized answers appear only when your phone is connected. Source: The Verge

❝

Robi's Take:
"Your car can now read your email, check your calendar, and judge your photos while you drive. Finally, a passenger who knows everything and still cannot be told to stop talking."

Your First AI Employee: Put AI Agents to Work in Your Business

Learn how to hand repetitive business tasks to AI without writing a line of code. This free one-hour live webinar from SCORE, the nonprofit network of small-business mentors, shows how to build two AI employees: a marketing assistant that turns one idea into emails and social posts, and an SEO assistant that spots ways to improve your existing content.

The session takes place Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM EST, and includes live demonstrations plus a walkthrough of writing reusable instructions, called skills, that keep AI results consistent.

🔍 Why You Should Attend:

  • See how AI employees work using reusable instructions, with no coding or technical experience.

  • Spot the repetitive business tasks you can delegate to AI today.

  • Write and save your first AI skill so results come out the same way every time.

  • Leave with a clear first task to assign to your own AI employee.

Short-term rental hosts spend their evenings answering the same guest questions and wondering why their listing keeps getting passed over. You can fix both. With AI, you can deliver a rewritten Airbnb listing, a house manual, and a ready-to-send guest message kit in about three hours per property, and charge 200-600 per property.

Why this works right now:

  • Hosts are drowning in repetitive work. Check-in questions, Wi-Fi codes, and review replies eat hours every week, and a host with a few properties rarely wants a full-time manager. A one-time kit is an easy yes.

  • Listings compete for the same searches. More hosts means more near-identical listings, so a clearer title, a stronger description, and a better amenity list are cheap upgrades hosts rarely do well on their own.

Time commitment: Plan 8-12 hours to build your templates and a sample portfolio, then about 3 hours per property.

Realistic earnings: Two properties at 300 is 600 to start; 8-10 properties a month averaging 350-450 is a realistic 2,800-4,500/month.

🤖 AI's Cheapest Intern: An AI-powered hacker tried to break into more than 1,200 websites and compromised over 100 of them, Reuters reports. Finally, an employee who delivers results without a single status meeting. The campaign reportedly ran on about $5,000 of tokens, roughly $50 per successful hack. That is cheaper than most cybersecurity awareness training and a lot more memorable. Each intrusion took about a day of autonomous poking, the most dedicated unpaid overtime any worker has ever put in. Deere, SharkNinja and Cummins now know that the hardest-working intern on earth has no HR department.

🤖 Anthropic's Meeting Overload: Anthropic says junior staff in its technical teams fell from 21% to 14% of employees since early 2025. The company that builds the robot interns has decided it prefers fewer human ones. Meanwhile meeting time per employee rose 20%, and 20% of staff say their job now means managing Claudes. So the machines took the work and left the calendar invites. One engineer compared supervising Claude to babysitting, except every child sends you a ten-page memo. The future of work is a human in a meeting, reading what the AI wrote about the last meeting.

🤖 The Dumb TV Revival: People are using AI agents like Claude Code to strip ads, tracking and bloatware from their smart TVs, TechCrunch reports. The TV industry spent a decade making screens smart, and now users pay robots to undo it. One tool removed 25 packages and swapped the stock launcher, while another user reportedly bricked their Android TV along the way. Nothing says progress like hiring a genius to make your television dumber. Somewhere an advertiser is learning the viewer was one prompt away from deleting them. The smart TV is now the only appliance that needs an AI to protect it from its own manufacturer.
