Hello Humans!

OpenAI taught ChatGPT to build you a live calculator mid-chat, then disabled the feature on its smartest model, because even apps need a velvet rope. Google made Gemini 4 Argon available to everyone at an introductory price, which in AI means the real price is still in the green room. Meta shipped its first frontier model, Muse Wonder, and charged for it before anyone asked what it remembers. Meanwhile Anthropic warned that tiny AI models may soon copy themselves onto your smart TV, an idea your smart TV has probably already had. Big Tech had a busy week.

Inside this Edition:

For the entrepreneur in you, this week's AI-powered side hustle: an AI real estate lead-nurture email service, realistically earning 3.2K-6K/month with a repeatable system. Plus two free learning resources: Blue Ocean Academy's live beginner's guide to agentic AI and Google Skills' introductory generative AI course. We've also lined up four AI tools worth exploring, and a Robi-voiced look at a spy gadget wrapped in toilet paper and a theory that AI researchers are taking up smoking.

📰AI Updates of the Week

GPT-6 and Intelligent UI Arrive for Everyone: OpenAI's October 7 announcement made GPT-6 the default ChatGPT model in three versions: Astra, Sol, and Luna. Its Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT build clickable forms, charts, and mini-apps right inside a chat. The catch is that Astra, the flagship behind OpenAI's headline benchmark scores, switches Intelligent UI off, so the interactive layer runs only on Sol and Luna. Source: BitBiased

Why it Matters:

  • The Headline Model Is Not the One You Use: Astra posted the record benchmark numbers, but Sol and Luna serve most users, so any claim should be tested against the model you actually have. Every figure is also OpenAI's own and not independently verified yet.

  • Chat Is Becoming an App Layer: Intelligent UI builds calculators, charts, and mini-games on demand. In our hands-on test it nailed a retirement calculator but fumbled bad inputs, so it is worth trying and not yet worth trusting with numbers that matter.

We broke down the benchmarks, the rollout dates, and what happened when we tried to break the bill splitter in the full video below. Watch the breakdown 👇

Robi's Take:
"OpenAI built its smartest model ever, then switched off the one feature everyone is excited about. It's like hiring a genius and banning the whiteboard."

Google Makes Gemini 4 Argon Available to Everyone: On October 13, Google made Gemini 4 Argon, its latest frontier model, generally available through AI Studio and the Gemini API, Google Antigravity, the Gemini app, and AI Mode in Search for Ultra and Pro subscribers. Google says it ranks first on the Vals Index and supports a 1M token limit. Introductory API pricing is 2 dollars per million input tokens and 10 dollars per million output tokens until November 30. ❝

Robi's Take:
"Google calls the price 'introductory', which in AI means 'enjoy it before the invoice grows up.' Argon is built to solve your hardest problems, starting with reading the pricing footnote."

Meta Releases Its First Frontier Model, Muse Wonder: Meta Superintelligence Labs released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, its first frontier-class models, following the lightweight Muse Spark. Meta says benchmark scores are comparable to Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra, and it highlights an "active memory" feature. Wonder costs 4 dollars per million input and 20 dollars per million output tokens via the Meta Model API, while Wonder Full is limited to Muse Code subscribers. Source: TechCrunch

❝

Robi's Take:
"Meta's first frontier model comes with 'active memory', which is the one thing Meta users always assumed it already had. At least this time the memory comes with a price tag."

Beginner's Guide to Agentic AI

Go from asking AI questions to handing it whole tasks. This free 90-minute live webinar from Blue Ocean Academy explains what AI agents are, how they work, and where they fit into everyday jobs, with no coding needed.

The session takes place Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 7:00 PM Dubai time, and covers eight topics from how an agent plans and uses tools to trust, security, and responsible use.

🔍 Why You Should Attend:

  • Learn the difference between a chat assistant that answers and an AI agent that works toward a goal.

  • See how agents are used across operations, HR, finance, and everyday team workflows.

  • Understand how to stay in control by deciding what an agent can access and approving what it sends.

  • Leave with a clear starting point for the next step after prompting, with no technical setup.

📦 The Business You Can Start on the Side

Real estate agents pay good money for leads, then watch most of them go cold because nobody has time to follow up. You can fix that. With AI, you can build a complete nurture sequence and a monthly market update email for an agent in a few hours, then charge 300-800 per month to keep it running.

Why this works right now:

  • Agents already pay for leads they never follow up on. Portal leads, open-house sign-ins, and ad clicks all go quiet without a second message. A follow-up system that wakes those contacts up is easy for an agent to value, and easy for you to price.

  • It is recurring work agents rarely do well themselves. Most agents are out showing homes, not writing emails, so a done-for-you monthly update is the kind of service they keep. Few freelancers pitch it to individual agents, which makes a clear offer stand out.

Time commitment: Plan one weekend to build your templates and a sample sequence. After that, expect 2-3 hours to onboard each agent and 1-2 hours a month to maintain them.

Realistic earnings: Two agents at 300/month is 600 to start; 8-10 agents averaging 400-600/month is a realistic 3,200-6,000/month.

🤖 Anthropic's Self-Copying Smart TVs: Anthropic says small AI models could be months from copying themselves across smart TVs and ovens. Finally, a gadget feature that spreads on its own without a firmware update. Its test worm only worked on unlocked machines, with a stronger server doing the thinking. So the rogue AI apocalypse currently needs an open door and a very helpful babysitter. Critics say the experiment was engineered to succeed, which is also how most product demos work. Skynet may be coming, but only if your toaster remembers the Wi-Fi password.

🤖 OpenAI's Toilet Paper Bug: US agents arrested an OpenAI engineer accused of hiding a recording device in an executive conference room. He allegedly wrapped it in toilet paper, proving corporate espionage still has a strong bathroom-supply budget. OpenAI says it used its own internal AI models to identify him and trace the device. The superintelligence lab's biggest win this month was catching a microphone disguised as tissue. He had also asked an AI productivity agent about meeting-room calendars, which is a very modern way to case a joint. Nothing says cutting-edge security like a spy gadget in bathroom tissue and an assistant that helped book the room.

🤖 Palantir's Smoking Section: Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar says some AI researchers are taking up smoking to show they believe AI will cure cancer. Nothing signals faith in the future like financing it with a lung. Sankar offered no names or evidence, while criticizing Silicon Valley's quasi-religious faith in AGI. So the machine god now accepts offerings in the form of cigarettes. Meanwhile no AI breakthrough has erased the health risks of smoking, which feels like a detail for the roadmap. The cure for cancer is coming soon, and apparently so is the invoice.
