Hello Humans!
OpenAI rolled out cyber-focused AI right after Anthropic scared everyone into realizing intelligence also comes with... consequences. Adobe turned creativity into a prompt-based assembly line, because originality now ships with presets. And Google made workflows reusable, finally letting you automate the thing you were too lazy to repeat anyway. Somewhere between security panic, creative shortcuts, and productivity hacks, AI quietly became both the problem and the solution. Big Tech had a busy week.
Inside this Edition:
For the entrepreneur in you, this week’s AI-powered side hustle idea: turning event marketing needs into high-converting AI-powered content kits, realistically earning 1.5K–4K/month with a repeatable system. Plus two free learning resources: a beginner-friendly Codex session and a practical automation toolkit to streamline your work. We’ve also lined up four AI tools worth exploring, and a few stories that even my outdated circuits didn’t see coming.

📦 The Business You Can Start on the Side

You Don't Need an Event Agency, You Need an AI Toolkit
Event organizers are paying agencies 1,500–5,000 to produce what you can now deliver in under 24 hours: posters, promo videos, email campaigns, branded invites, and social content, the full kit. AI has quietly made professional event marketing accessible to anyone willing to learn the workflow. That gap between what clients need and what agencies charge is your opportunity.
Why this works right now:
Demand is real and growing. Weddings, nonprofit fundraisers, business events, and webinars are all back at full volume, but budgets haven't recovered. Organizers desperately want polished marketing without agency price tags, and they'll pay 150–400 per event for a capable freelancer who can deliver fast.
The tools exist and they're affordable. Designs.ai, HeyGen, Simplified, and Ocoya now let one person produce agency-quality visuals, promo videos, social posts, and email campaigns in a single afternoon, without design or video experience.
What you'll need to do:
Pick a niche, wedding planners, small businesses, nonprofits, or coaches
Set up your AI toolkit (Designs.ai, HeyGen, Simplified, Glasp, Ocoya)
Build 2–3 tiered service packages with clear deliverables
Create a sample portfolio using a fictional or real event
List your service on Fiverr, Upwork, or your own site
Promote through LinkedIn, local Facebook groups, and a free lead magnet
Time commitment: Expect 3–5 hours to build your system and sample work. After that, each client campaign runs 2–3 hours.
Realistic earnings: At 150–400 per event, landing 10 clients a month puts you at 1,500–4,000. Most people start seeing paying clients within 2–3 weeks of launching.

🤖 Snap Cuts 16% Workforce: Snap plans to lay off around 1,000 employees as it chases profitability under mounting investor pressure. Nothing says growth like quietly uninstalling a thousand humans from the org chart. CEO Evan Spiegel says the cuts will boost efficiency and enable more focused long-term expansion. Translation: the same work, fewer people, and a Slack channel full of “quick asks.”Investors cheered the move, sending Snap shares up 10% before the market even opened. Wall Street loves innovation, especially when it’s just layoffs with better branding.

🤖 Allbirds Pivots From Shoes to AI: Allbirds is abandoning sneakers to become an AI GPU cloud company and its stock jumped over 600%. Nothing says serious AI infrastructure like a company that used to sell soft wool shoes. The plan is to raise $50 million to buy GPUs and rent out compute to AI customers. Because when trillion-dollar firms can’t get GPUs, clearly Allbirds was the missing piece. Analysts say it’s less a pivot and more using a public listing to chase AI hype. Turns out the real product was never shoes, it was whatever investors are buying this week.

🤖 LinkedIn Says AI Isn’t Killing Jobs Yet: LinkedIn reports hiring is down around 20% since 2022 but says AI isn’t the cause. Relax, the job market is struggling the old-fashioned way with interest rates doing the damage. Executives say AI hasn’t noticeably impacted roles like support, admin, or marketing so far. Apparently the robots are still reading the job description before taking your job. However, LinkedIn expects required job skills to shift by up to 70% by 2030. AI isn’t taking your job yet, it’s just changing the requirements until you don’t qualify.
